J Lo and Backup Dancer Casper Smart Get Cozy in Hawaii; J Lo’s Bronx Commercial Flub

A lot of people have been watching J Lo to see what her next move would be – personally and career-wise. As for her professional life, she’s already had a flub, with her car commercial, where she is driving around “the streets of NY”, and claiming that it is her “playground” (her words, not mine). After she gives a great voiceover:

This is my world. This place inspires me, Lopez says in a voiceover. To be tougher, to stay sharper, to think faster.

They may be just streets to you, she adds. But to me theyre a playground.

Party hosts put perfect outfit on to-do list

NEW YORK — One more thing to add to the to-do list for your holiday party: Find an outfit that creates a celebratory mood, is welcoming and warm (but not hot), can hide a little sauce splatter and has pockets to stash remotes, phones and, for the ladies, lip gloss.

It’s the delicate balance of being chic and comfortable.

“I can’t imagine any more pressure when you’re putting on a party — when you are so focused on wine and food — and you have to look beautiful as well,” says Simon Kneen, creative director of Banana Republic. “Men have it a little easier, but you still have to make it look effortless and easy to manage.”

Dressing for the role of host is a little bit different from a guest, with many more practical considerations.
